Cosmetics etc.
(links verified 1/17/11)

Like other pages of mine, this one will get you started. Included, as I find them, will be links providing glossaries of terms just because it helps to know what we're talking about *smile* The links follow in no particular order.

  • All About Wigs
Okay it is not exactly your face, but it relates. This is from a commercial site and as they say, "It will help you make an informed decision and increase your enjoyment of your hairpiece."

  • All That Glitters
Again it's not exactly about your face, but jewelry is an important enhancement. "Buying jewelry can be fun, exciting, expensive and confusing. Whether you're considering a gift of jewelry for someone special or as a treat for yourself, take some time to learn the terms used in the industry. Here's some information to help you get the best quality jewelry for your money."

  • Heather Kleinman's Cosmetic Connection
"If you've been searching for unbiased cosmetic information and advice, you've found it here at Cosmetic Connection. Since 1996 we've been delivering honest, no holds barred reviews and advice covering just about every product line you can think of. We are not paid by the cosmetic companies..."

  • I am Transgendered.com - My Makeup Routine
"Although I am the first admit that I am no makeup artist, I have learned a few things over the years that tend to work fairly well with me. I picked up some things from friends." Hummm sounds familiar; like me. *smile*

  • Star Design Costumes - Makeup
This is really theater stuff... And for those not so fortunate to be able to just use women's makeup, here is a link to "stronger stuff". I am not endorsing this company, but I offer you the link so that you can see what they say about beard cover and other problems.

  • Ask the Makeup Diva
She is cross-linked with Heather Kleinman. "Welcome to Ask The Makeup Diva, a new generation in advice columns. Our resident expert, The Makeup Diva, answers makeup and skin care questions sent in by readers like you - all you have to do is ask!"

  • Clearing Up Cosmetic Confusion
"This article originally appeared in the May-June 1998 FDA Consumer. The version [linked here] is from a reprint of the original article and contains revisions made in May 1998."

  • Ultra Skin Care's FAQ
"What's your skin problem?" This is a company and so you know my take. They endorse their own products, but they do a good job of answering the questions. Their home page has more information.

  • http://www.marleneklein.com - Marlene Klein Cosmetics is missing for the moment.
"Professional Make-Up at Internet Prices" Marlene solicited me! Well since it was SPAM, I almost didn't bother with it. However, I looked and now you can. I cannot attest to the prices, but I can say you will like the content. Look her site over and her links.

  • Tweezerman
I just picked the one page because it is the first one I saw on the topic. You know I pretty much tell you to get your face hair electrocuted--but if you are going to tweeze, then here is how to do you eyebrows.

Hair Removal (FAQs)

This will be a bit mixed up, but a good list of FAQs none the less *smile*.I do suggest you watch some of these as they are from clinics wanting your business. I still selected them as they provide a reasonable idea about what hair removal is all about. You will also notice most are on laser techniques. I am not saying by the numbers that is it the best method. It is just that I have not searched as hard for info information on electrology. And so, in no particular order:

  • Electrology FAQ
The information has been published by the American Electrology Association.

  • Hairfacts: Hair Removal Facts
"hairfacts is about hair removal facts, not sales. It's about helping you make informed purchasing decisions. First-time visitors should start with my overview of hair removal methods. I hope my commercial-free site earns your trust as a reliable hair removal resource."

  • Cristianos Laser Clinic
"...is registered with Salford and Trafford Health Authority under the provisions of the Registered Homes Act 1984 for The Use Of Specially Controlled Techniques involving the use of Class 4 Laser" This site offers straight forward information.
